Site network in North-Rhine Westphalia – Industrial park in Brunsbüttel

On the Rhine and on the Elbe

Covestro has production operations at four sites in Germany: in Brunsbüttel in Schleswig-Holstein and in the plants of the North-Rhine Westphalia (NRW) site network – Leverkusen, Dormagen and Krefeld-Uerdingen.

North-Rhine Westphalia site network

The site network was established on July 1, 2010, to make operation of the Leverkusen, Dormagen and Krefeld-Uerdingen sites, which are within 70 kilometers of one another, more efficient.

The sites are a part of modern industrial parks that are also home to numerous other companies. CURRENTA is the operator of these parks. The official name of the three sites on the Lower Rhine is “Chempark.”

The aim of the NRW organization is to improve aspects such as infrastructure, warehousing and services in order to sustainably enhance the company’s competitive position within North-Rhine Westphalia. Areas of activity are safety and compliance, synergies (such as with the use of resources and with optimization programs), internal and external representation and the local implementation of the global corporate strategy.

Site and Covestro Industrial park Brunsbüttel

In addition to maintaining its own production site in Brunsbüttel, Covestro operates an industrial park hosting other partner companies and numerous service providers. Located at the confluence of  the Kiel Canal and the Elbe River, the Covestro Industrial Park Brunsbüttel features excellent access to transportation, outstanding infrastructure and a wide range of available services.
